In part 1, we talked about the foundation for building a coaching business. So by now, you have decided to quit your 9-5 and to start your career in coaching. To build a business that allows you to have the impact and freedom you have always wanted (good for you!). In the first part of this blog series, I talked about why coaching is an incredible option if you want to be your own boss and we talked about what it takes to become a coach.

Here’s the thing, it always comes down to solutions. This means understanding the problems that you are here to solve. More than anything else, this is what you need to understand as an entrepreneur. The more you demonstrate power and empathy towards the problems that your clients have, the more you will be able to bring in the right people into your business. This is the key to creating an offer that actually sells.

You want to start by looking and defining exactly where your audience is and what their problems are and then looking at where it is that they want to be. In order to build a powerful offer, you focus on the steps that are going to take people from one place to another. From point A to point B. The key to building an offer that sells is being able to position yourself as the solution that they truly want. Move away from talking like a service provider and into acting like an expert.

Yes. An expert. I know it’s a highly triggering word, especially if you tend to be someone that suffers from good ole impostor syndrome. But here’s the thing - despite what you believe, you ARE an expert if you know more than the people that are looking up to you for answers. So, instead of saying you are a weight loss coach that will help women be thinner, you can say you help women become badasses, crush their goals and build their dream bodies. See the difference? Of course, you want to make sure that your offer is so high-quality, you can charge premium prices for it. The reason why you can charge high prices is that you’re bringing your own experience, time, support and transformation that will be highly impactful. You are also helping them achieve results in the shortest time frame possible.  

There are essentially 3 ways around this.

1- You can focus on a few clients and offer a high price option for your service

2- You can focus on a lot of students and offer a low price option for your course/program

3- You can play around with options 1 and 2 and build your income by stacking both.

This is how I have been able to build a multiple 6-figure business pretty quickly. In my case, I have mixed a variety of high-end and medium-end offers for my clients.

When I work with clients we focus on building programs that are around 3-months long with either weekly or bi-weekly calls. They also give their own clients payment plans that allows people to access them with more ease.

In my case, my 1:1 done-for-you service takes around 3 months and I have a variety of payment options and plans available. I also have a group program which is at a lower price and can be accessed by more people.

Another option is to have a low-price offer and doing massive online marketing in order to attract a bigger audience.

Once you have the pieces and know what you need to do in order to build your offer, the next step is for you to get out there and start selling. But, wait! Selling is not just about literally getting out there and screaming HIRE ME like a mad person, but about giving as much value as you possibly can. You want to get in front of your audience and show them that you have the power to help them out and solve their problems. I talk about attracting high-quality clients right here.

The main thing you want to focus on is building a powerful sales funnel that builds your KNOW>LIKE>TRUST factor. Essentially what this means is that people will buy from you once they feel like they trust you and that you have the knowledge, skills and experience to help them out. And of course, this is done by first helping them gain awareness of who you are and what you do, and then creating likability.

My favorite and most impactful way to do this is through generating massive value. Showing your audience that you know what you know and giving them short solutions that will allow them to overcome objections and get to know you better. My favorite way of doing this is through my masterclass. Another way of doing this is by sharing content and ideas online as well. Where to start? Social media, of course! Looking at your own Facebook or Instagram profile will absolutely help attract more people. Another REALLY powerful tool is Pinterest (one of my favorites!). It’s SO fundamental to remember to have a call to action at the end of it all that will drive people to the next level with you. What can this look like?
